InsureAnswer Claim Inquiry Application Wins ACORD XML Early Adopter Award Safety Insurance has received the ACORD XML Early Adopter award at the 9th annual ACORD Technology Conference. Safety has been recognized as an “Implementation Champion” using the newly created ACORD XML standard for the company’s InsureAnswer Claim Inquiry application. ACORD presents the Early Adopter awards to companies and solution providers who lead the way in implementing the new ACORD XML standards. InsureAnswer uses these ACORD standards to create an open conduit that makes insurance carrier data available on agency web sites for agency customers. Claim Inquiry Application To further brand and increase traffic on an agency web site, InsureAnswer can provide carrier specific data directly to agency customers. Through agency web sites, customers can view the status of their property claims and billing information, as well as perform other services like glass replacement scheduling and RMV activities. The claim inquiry application on InsureAnswer not only gives the status of the claim, but also provides information about the claim-- such as adjuster contact information, appraisal amount and check payee information; information the insured would only be able to get by making a phone call. With InsureAnswer’s secure self service capability, customers can answer basic claim questions without tying up agency phone lines, all through an agency’s web site. InsureAnswer is as easy as 1-2-3 for customers and draws attention to existing agency web sites. Agencies not linking to InsureAnswer on their web site can sign up now and give insureds the 24 by 7 access they've been looking for. Contact Safety Questions about accessing the claim information via InsureAnswer or about placing a link to InsureAnswer on an agency web site can be answered by contacting a member of Safety’s AVC Customer Relationship Management team at 1.800.951.2100 ext. 4200.
