Safety Insurance offers a account bill option for policyholders who wish to receive a single billing statement for personal insurance policies, or a single billing statement for commercial insurance policies. Please contact your agent to learn more about Combined Bill.

Electronic Payments - Checks (ACH), Credit and Debit Cards

Online Bill Pay and our Automated Telephone Billing System are convenient ways for you to pay your Safety Insurance bill. You may pay for any Safety Insurance policy or your Combined Bill account using either of these methods and any of the forms of payment listed below:

  • Personal or business checking accounts drawn on US banks (ACH)

Note: Payments from foreign bank accounts and savings accounts are not considered valid forms of payment. Safety Insurance does not offer the ability to pay bills through the use of payment services such as PayPal.

When enrolled in AutoPay, payments are automatically debited from a checking or savings account each month on a date chosen by you. Any day from the 1st to the 28th may be selected. For complete information, including how to enroll, refer to the authorization form.

Private Passenger Auto Insurance

Safety offers the following payment options. Your Safety agent can help you select the one that best meets your needs.

Pay in Full: you may pay the entire premium in full at the time you apply for insurance or when your policy comes up for renewal. There is no installment billing charge when you pay your bill in full.

AutoPay: The AutoPay program automatically debits your checking or savings account each month. With the 5-pay and 10-pay options, a due date between the 1st and 28th may be selected. With the 12-pay option, the policy effective date is used as the due date. All AutoPay options include a reduced installment billing charge.

Installment Plan: Installments of 5, 10 or 12 may be selected at the time you apply for insurance which remains in place for future renewals. After the down payment is received, we will produce monthly billing statements for the remaining balance in accordance with the number of installments selected. A billing charge is assessed on each billing statement. The type of billing charge depends on the SDIP points associated with the operators of each vehicle.

Refund Policy - All Policy Types and Combined Bill

Regardless of the original form of payment, credit account balances resulting from policy cancellations, endorsements or overpayments will be refunded weekly in the form of a check mailed to the policyholder’s last known address.
